Canary Testing Guide
Welcome to the GamerBoom 2.0 Closed Beta!Thank you for joining us as one of the first testers of GamerBoom 2.0! Your feedback will shape the future of our platform. This guide walks you through how to test, earn rewards, and report issues.
1. Testing Basics
1.1 Testing Period
May 22 – May 30, 2025
1.2 What to Test
Download the GamerBoom 2.0 client and play at least one of these games:
League of Legends
Dota 2
Marvel Rivals
1.3 Important Note
This is a data wipe test. All progress will be reset after the test ends.
2. Getting Started
2.1 Download & Install
Download the client: gamerboom.org/download
Supported OS: Windows only
Follow the installer prompts to set up the client.
2.2 Wallet Login Guide
Google Form testers: Use the wallet address you submitted during test application.
Leaderboard testers: Top 50 players use your bound EVM wallet address to log in.
Note: Rewards will be sent to this wallet bound account after the test.
GamerBoom 2.0 Canary Testing supports only mobile QR code login.
Open GamerBoom 2.0 and select "WalletConnect QR Code" to display the QR code.
Scan the QR code using your mobile wallet’s built-in scanner (or native camera) to initiate a connection request. (Note: We recommend OKX Wallet, which supports importing common private keys.)
After scanning, tap "Connect" on your phone.
Tap "Sign Message" to open the signature prompt in your wallet.
Confirm the signature in your wallet’s interface.
Login complete!
2.3 Choose a Game
Open the GamerBoom client.
Select your game from the sidebar.
Check the game-specific instructions in the client.
2.4 Launch the Game
Click Select Game Directory (bottom-right corner).
If auto-detection works, the button changes to Launch Game with GPT Mining. Click it to start playing with mining enabled.
If auto-detection fails:
Click Only Activate GPT Mining to start tracking.
When the button changes to Stop GamerBoom GPT Mining, mining is active.
Launch the game manually from your system.
2.5 Track Your Gameplay
When the mining orb appears in-game, your gameplay is being tracked.
After your match, click Stop GamerBoom GPT Mining to calculate and claim your GPT points.
3. What to Focus On
3.1 Test Event-Based Mining
Play League of Legends, Dota 2, or Marvel Rivals using the GamerBoom client.
Start a real match (not a practice or bot game) to trigger event tracking.
3.2 Daily Goal
Earn at least 1,000 GPT points per day through Event-Based Mining.
4. Rewards
4.1 GPT Point Rewards
Earn ≥1,000 points/day for at least 3 days to qualify for tiered rewards:
7 days (≥1,000 points/day): 200,000 GPT
5 days (≥1,000 points/day): 100,000 GPT
3 days (≥1,000 points/day): 50,000 GPT
If you earn some GPT but don’t meet the daily goal, you’ll get a 3,000 GPT participation reward.
4.2 Bug Report Rewards
Submit valid bug reports to earn 500–5,000 GPT based on the issue’s severity and if it’s addressed.
4.3 Extra Perks
Testers get priority access to future rewards.
Earn >1,000 GPT points to unlock an exclusive Discord role on GamerBoom’s server.
4.4 How Rewards Are Sent
Rewards will be sent to your registered wallet within 7 business days after the test ends.
Important: If your wallet isn’t registered with GamerBoom, you won’t receive rewards.
Discord roles will be assigned in the test channel.
5. How to Report Bugs
5.1 What to Include
A clear description (e.g., “The ‘Start Game’ button doesn’t work.”)
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Screenshots or screen recordings (if possible).
